Factory Maintenance Lead 

Geartronics Industries currently has an opening for an experienced ?hands on? person to act in a lead role within the company?s maintenance department. Specific responsibilities of the person employed in this position include the following:

? Assume overall responsibility for the proper operation of plant systems including compressed air, heating, air conditioning, lighting, alarm systems and plumbing. Make arrangements with sub-contractors for the repair and maintenance of these systems as necessary.

? Assume overall responsibility for the internal and external maintenance of two separate facilities (both buildings and grounds) housing three different companies. Perform and coordinate repair and maintenance efforts with management personnel and outside contractors.

? Develop schedules for and perform routine maintenance on production machinery. Repair machinery as required. Maintain computer records and hardcopy logs of activities related to machinery maintenance.

? Manage the accumulation, identification, storage and disposal of the company?s hazardous waste, typically used oil and spent solvents used in the manufacturing process. 

In addition, the person employed in this capacity will coordinate the activities of other employees to assure that routine maintenance activities are conducted as required. These activities include:

? The cleaning and treating of production parts and assemblies.

? The removal and storage of chips that accumulate as a result of machining operations in production areas.

? The regular cleaning and upkeep of office, production, and other building areas.

? The storage and retrieval of bar stock and the operation of a CNC controlled band saw.

? Other miscellaneous responsibilities as required.

The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal supervision, have a strong work ethic and be able to provide professional references. In addition, the individual must be willing to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others and exhibit consideration for co-workers in the performance of his/her activities.
