Food Production Supervisor - Entry Level

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Leads the daily efforts of their self-directed food production
team in a union-free environment.
* Supervises the team using the following skills:
- Exercises quick decision-making.
- Resolves conflicts.
- Coaches.
- Provides feedback.
- Arrives at "win-win" conclusions.
* Assures regulatory compliance, process control and safety
standards are met.
* Trains, coaches, evaluates and develops team members in
procedures resulting in "world class" programs.
* Facilitates "continuous process improvement" projects, often working with other management team members.
* Every team supervisor is responsible for a crucial part of the company business. Although
work "in the trenches" is often required, the greatest need is for "leadership". Advancement
opportunities are abundant and diverse based on skills, education, performance and motivation.

engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, operations,
human resources, plant manager, etc.
KEY QUALIFIERS:
* The following bachelor's and/or masters degrees are being accepted at this time:
- BS Science - food, dairy, animal, biology, microbiology, bacteriology, chemistry,
biochemistry or very closely related.
- BS Engineering - mechanical, electrical, chemical, agricultural, industrial,
biosystems or very closely related.
- BS Business - business administration, supply chain, logistics, operations
or very closely related.
- BS Finance - accounting, finance, agricultural economics or closely related.
- MBAs are highly desired.
* Best candidates will have some experience in a manufacturing/production
environment or related duties in the military.
* Candidate experience can range from co-ops and internships to part and full-time work in an
industrial environment.
* Demonstrated leadership must be evident through involvement in organizations, sports and
even entrepreneurial endeavors while in college and even in high school.
* All qualifiable candidates must be able to demonstrate communications skills and energy level
which distinguishes them from mainstream candidates.
* Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities are necessary.
* It's critical that candidates understand the steps involved in building and facilitating teams.
* Highly desired, but not required skills - HACCP, USDA, FDA, EPA, OSHA, GMPs, SPCs, Six Sigma,
Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, Kaisen, or any other "continuous process improvement" programs.
* Candidates must be open to relocating immediately to any other equivalent positions open
throughout the company.
