Food Safety Auditor - Contractor Position

This is a CONTRACTOR position. Conduct FPA-SAFE supplier audits of processors, distributors, and packaging facilities. Prepare detailed audit reports for clients and audited companies. Audit facilities for adherence to GMPs, Sanitation, Pest Control, Food Safety and HACCP Systems, Quality Systems, Training, Operational Methods, Personnel Practices and applicable regulations. This position requires 100% travel in the US.



Skills and Requirements:



Bachelor of Science degree in technical field (i.e. Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or Engineering) is required.



Minimum of 5+ year?s food industry experience in a QA/QC role in the food industry and 120+ hours in food manufacturing industry related auditing within the past twelve months.



Specialized knowledge or skills in a food product category are required.



Excellent Verbal, Written, and Interpersonal communication skills are essential.



Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Database application experience is a plus. ASQ Certification preferred.
