ISO Process Improvement Coordinator

ISO Coordinator will lead, develop, implement all necessary ISO-9000 systems/requirements to ensure the successful completion of actions items required for ISO certification.

 

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Top Management team to create quality management system (process) and incorporate ISO and quality standards into everyday practices.
Evaluate and compare company practices and procedures with existing standards (e.g. ISO) in order to find discrepancies.
Create, organize and maintain a quality management system document manual.  The manual is to include applicable procedures, flowcharts, production methods, a list of responsibilities, work instructions for in-house review and archiving of policies and procedures, training records, audit records,  device master records, engineering drawings, change records, product labeling and promotional materials, product complaints, etc.   
Set up a plan of action to help facility conform with industry standards. 
Develop a training class and train internal auditors.
Schedule and monitor internal audits for continuous process improvements.
Propose improvements to current document control policies and practices and implement as directed.
Ensure proposed quality methods are adapted to the company and are respected by all personnel, and take corrective measures if this is not the case.
Organize and maintain company Documentation Control Programs in compliance with quality system requirements, where applicable. Maintain, distribute and track copies of records, policies and procedures, product documentation for product assembly and servicing, and other documentation records.
Challenge processes and drive continuous improvement.
Coordinate necessary resources (applicable employee resources, required materials, etc.) to successfully implement the plan of action.
Liaison with outside auditors.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

? BA in Business, Manufacturing Engineering preferred  or relevant working experience

? Previous ISO work experience required

? 3-5 years actual experience in Manufacturing; Optical Lab experience desired, but not required

? 4 years minimum experience in Quality Management with at least 7 years total Quality experience.

? Previous experience in planning, forecasting, setting objectives and determining courses of action that controls the quality of the most critical of all the variables contributing to the realizations of departmental goals and objectives

? Excels in training, leading, and motivating people and inspiring the cooperation and confidence of others both inside and outside the organization to achieve optimal levels of departmental performance

? Proven problem solving and analytical skills. 

? Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with various departments and top management.

? Ability to work as part of a team in a deadline-oriented environment, and willingness to partner with management to achieve desired results

? Highly proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) and MS Project
