Position Description:
Infinera is currently hiring for a IT Engineer

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Using predominantly Microsoft technologies:
Design, Develop, Test, Implement, Maintain and Improve (following Infinera?s SDLC methodology and IT governance policies) simple to semi-complex business applications, workflows, reports, automated solutions and on-line tools in support of core business systems, processes and operations. Business clients include functional groups, teams and/or cross-functional programs projects supporting productivity initiatives in Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, Service, HR, Facilities, and IT.

Act as Primary Technical /Project Lead for My Infinera.com Rel 1.0, Infinera?s first enterprise e-commerce and intranet web-based business portal. Responsibilities include taking a project from concept to implementation. This includes assessing the application-layer architecture, system design, development, testing and deployment.

Develop, deploy and administer web portals and dynamic web-based applications utilizing languages including HTML, ASP, XML, SQL and JavaScript and back-end databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access and LDAP. Administer web servers utilizing Microsoft IIS 4.0 and Microsoft IIS 5.0. Ensure user accessibility to the site.

Provide technical consultation, planning, and administration of the software infrastructure and technical support for the implementation and maintenance of company/customer's web sites.


Position Requirements: Strong Proficiency/competency in core Microsoft .NET technologies including but not limited to VB.Net, SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005, Share Point Services 2003, e-connect, BizTalk, Microsoft IIS 5.0, XP, .NET security. Experience with integrating Web Forms from within a .net application, creating XML web services, accessing it from within a .net application, utilizing ADO.NET for calls to the database and ASP.NET. Experience developing and deploying web-enabled crystal reports (version 8.x, 9.x or 11.x) within a .Net Framework . Excellent written skills and the ability to write System Specification and Test Plan documents. 1-3 years experience developing applications that have a relational database (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) repository. Experience working with web servers (i.e., Web Logic, IIS) Experienced administering SQL 2000 / SQL 2005 database. 3+ years Web Application Development experience using Microsoft development Tools (including Visual Studio.NET, ASP, ADO, XML). Equally profecient in open standard technologies such as HTML, ASP, XML, SQL, Java, JSP, javascript, C++, J2EE, Apache WebServer, Linux, Oracle AS, Unix . 2-3 years professional experience with at least 2 years experience idesign and administration of web-based applications and systems. Knowledge of multiple reporting tools (e.g. Business Objects, Siebel Analytics, Oracle ReportWriter/Express, SAS, Crystal, etc.) Familiar with data warehouse, data mart, EIS, Dashboard, and operational data store design concepts. Experience with Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) concepts and Tools such as Informatica, OWB, PL/SQL or SQL Loader, etc. Experience in defining requirements for integration of OLTP system data into an OLAP environment for that supports multiple functional organizations. Strong understanding of business impact of technology. Expert knowledge of the impact of various solutions on the business. Ability to define and execute to Project Plans and effectively coordinate activities with an offshore resource model. Excellent demonstrated written communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to a broad ranch of audiences, including middle/upper management. Ability to determine, understand business needs and requirements and use technology to drive/solve them. Excellent demonstrated teamwork, including the ability to work across teams, across geographic regions, cultures, etc. Ability to work across the value chain including business representatives, management, architects, service managers, peer engineers and delivery partners. Education: Typically requires BS/CS/Business or equivalent plus 3-5years experience in a software or telecommunications environment. MS strongly preferred.
