Injection Molding Maintenance Technician

Plastipak Packaging is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of plastic containers of the highest quality. Our Westland, MI facility has an immediate need for an experienced injection molding maintenance technician. Responsibilites of the position include:

 





? Performs mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, adjustments or repairs on injection molding machines and all of the related auxiliary equipment.

? Perform preventative maintenance on multi-cavity molds and hot runner systems.

? Monitors and performs necessary adjustments and repairs on injection systems for proper mold conditions.

? Develop preventative maintenance plans for molds/hot runners as needed to maintain optimal conditions.

? Completes preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.

? Observes all local and Company safety policies and procedures as well as housekeeping requirements.

 

Skills required:

 



? 5-10 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing and operating Husky machines.

? 5-10 years of experience maintaining multi-cavity injection molds.

? An Associates degree in electronics, automated technology, etc. and or related education/experience. Higher degree levels (Bachelors) are acceptable and have increased potential opportunities within the structure as well.

? Mechanically inclined as verifiable by transcript, reference, testing, or other approved methods.

? Strong verbal communication skills as demonstrated in the context of the interviewing processes.

? Strong inter-personal skills as demonstrated in the context of the interviewing processes and verifiable references
