Inspector Level 1

Perform in-process inspection in the areas of assembly, propellant processing and test. Perform inspection of procured items for compliance to engineering requirements. The primary focus for this position will be performing in-process inspection in the propellant production area by conducting QA assessment of propellant tablets, including moisture content test and dimensional inspection, requiring the use of various precision measuring tools, reference standards and recording data. The secondary responsibility of this individual will be supporting QA assessment of mechanical assemblies and goods received using various precision measuring tools, reference standards and inspection techniques.

 

?Prior propellant manufacturing experience preferred

?Must be available for shift work

?Must be able to move/lift 50lbs

?Must pass pre-employment tests and criminal background check

?Associate of Art (AA) degree with 2 years experience, or high school diploma (or equivalent) w 4 years exp

?Experience in the use of standard measuring equipment such as digital balances, calipers micrometers is required

?Aility to work by written work instruction, accurately record data & familiarity with Microsoft Excel is necessary

?Must be knowledgeable in quality assurance concepts

?Requires communication skills, both written and oral using the English language

?Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawing and specifications
