Inspector/Production Control

Job Purpose:

Well rounded individual that can handle a multitude of tasks in a machine shop environment. Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results. Additional duties include the controlled movement of the product within the shop and to our suppliers. 

 

Who We are:

CPHI is an FAA certified manufacturing and repair facility for small hydraulic component parts. We are a very small company with a "family" of 7 employees and operate out of a 4500 sq. ft. facility. We have been in business since 1993. Our equipment consists of 2 Haas NC lathes, 6 Myford OD grinders and other support equipment.

 

NOTE: Since we are an FAA approved repair & manufacturing operation, drug and alcohol abatement programs are required by Federal Regulations. This includes pre-employment, random and selective drug and alcohol tests.

 

Duties:

 

* Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.



* Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.



* Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.



* Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.



* Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs; performing calibration.

 

*Controls the movement of materials within the shop and to outside suppliers; maintains the supplier audit program. 

 

*Maintain documentation for the manufacturing & repair quality control system.

 

*Perform other tasks at the direction of the owners.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years in a related field. The ability to read, write and comprehend technical publications in English.
