Gates Corporation has an exciting opportunity in our International Distribution department for an International Logistics Specialist.  This challenging position will require direct experience in the following areas: Responsibility for analyzing, developing, maintaining and continuously improving the delivery of products, services and information to world-wide customers.  Significant Statistical Data Analysis relating to Global Supply Chain and Logistic costs.  Ensure international product movement is provided in the most cost effective method while meeting service requirements.  Ensures international shipments are in compliance with specific international government regulations to minimize financial and legal risk.

 

Requirements:

 BS/BA degree preferred or 8 years experience in related fieldPrefer one year of specific or related experience in international freight, transportation, freight forwarding, purchasing or supply chain logistics.

 

Skills:

 Must be competent in Microsoft Office Suite business software including Word, Excel, and Access.Prefer solid project management skills. Must have strong customer service skills.A self starter; strong planning and organizational skills; ability to multi-task; possess strong communication skills both written and verbal.Ability to facilitate a collaborative team environment across a very diverse global group of international colleagues, vendors, logistics partners and customers.
