International Shipper/Packer

C&D Technologies, Inc. is a publicly held, global, high-tech manufacturer that produces and markets systems for the power conversion and storage of electrical power, including industrial batteries and electronics. We currently have an opening in our Power Electronics Division for a International Shipper/Packer based in Mansfield, MA.

We are looking for an individual with keyboarding skills, along with basic computer knowledge, comprehension of the English language, both reading, writing and have basic math skills for this position.? This person should be familiar with credit card machines, and transaction a plus.? This person should be knowledgeable in International Shipping.

This individual should be experienced in packaging and shipping via external carriers along with basic computer skills.? This person should have the knowledge of International Documents.? Forklift experience is also a plus.

This is a physical demanding position.? This person should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to move heavy skids of material using a pallet jack or forklift.? This person must be able to work in a fast paced environment, while paying close attention to special instructions on the sales order.

This individual must be able and have knowledge of filling out International documentation for any shipments to other than the United States.

Responsibility:Review sales orders for special instruction against product picked to insure correctness of part number and qauntity.? Make decisions as to packing method using company practices and procedures.Generate a Bar Code label for each package using the current program.Record pertinent information on the sales order, such as, product date code, how product is packaged, how many boxes and weights.Ship package ( Domestic and International) via method noted on the order.? Ensure proper documents accompany International shipments, and phone carrier for pick-up.Process credit cards, and C.O.D. orders.Generate and maintain all necessary reports, and files after end of day closing.? Generate special labels for marking product and containers at customers request.? Responsible for inventory accuracy on all packaging materials, and informing the Supervisor when ordering is necessary.Maintain area and equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
