Inventory Planning Manager

Job Summary
Responsible for management of all finished goods in all domestic locations. Facilitates and coordinates the flow of information on units that are available or allocated versus unallocated through the appropriate Demand Planning function. Oversees the cycle counting program and updates inventory reports as needed. Key activity is the identification and reduction the perpetual inventory as related to both raw parts and finished goods. This role focuses on inventory management and cycle count activities, and its initial focus will be on finished goods management.

Qualifications Required
Experience
5 years experience in electronic assembly/materials environment in a management capacity.


Skills and Abilities
Technical problem solving abilities
Must have experience with WMS finished products.
Must be computer literate in Windows 98 or higher, using Microsoft office.
Use of the Oracle system required, specifically in the Planning & Materials areas.
Successfully manage other supervisory personnel and multi-level organizations in a fast paced environment.


Responsibilities
Develop and maintain metrics and reports on finished goods inventories, monitor levels of allocated and unallocated units. Report statuses on a regular basis.
Recommend actions on unallocated units, understanding the manufacturing and financial impacts.
Work with other WMS departments, such as Executive Management, OMS, Shipping, Parts Warehouse, regional operations on overall inventory operations.
Oversee and grow the cycle count program throughout WMS, with a goal of 97% inventory accuracy.
Responsible for Physical Inventory functions as needed.
Develop project detail for improvement & inventory management objectives.
Budgetary responsibilities for department.
