Leader, Manufactruing Operations

CITY: Houston STATE: Texas COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Responsible for meeting all key manufacturing metrics, such as product quality performance, fulfillment, cost targets, inventory and environmental, health and safety.
* Provide leadership and directs productions; coordinates with material planning, inventory management, and manufacturing engineering to ensure effective operations.
* Deliver on budget commitments and operating plan; monitors and ensures projects meet expectations regarding timing and results.
*Provide effective control of resources such that assigned business goals within prescribed budgets.
* Provide long-term vision and strategic plans for the manufacturing of the aeroderivative packaged products.
* Ensure the manufacturing team is staffed and well trained to perform their duties effectively. Assess and assist in hiring and retaining the talent base to achieve growth and meet market needs.
* Establish and maintain a highly motivated, respected and capable team.
*Communicate effectively with all employees - listens and be flexible. Maintain good relations with internal & external customers.
* Drives growth and change in a fast-moving, high-energy environment.
* Maintain a personal commitment to excellence.
* Able to lead and support Six Sigma/Lean Team. Drive Lean for all product lines.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Four-year Engineering/Business degree.
* Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing/engineering experience.
* Extensive demonstrated leadership experience required.
* Demonstrated ability to implement strategic planning.
* Ability to set and achieve targets for growth and productivity.
* Manufacturing Knowledge - Working knowledge of ISO quality standard, Six Sigma, advanced manufacturing principles and systems such as Lean manufacturing (GE employees only).
* Working knowledge of supply chain management, manufacturing, EHS and team leadership.
* Must be able to assess unusual circumstances, variation in approach, and/or incomplete or conflicting data.


Desired:
* Corporate Training Program graduate (manufacturing/ operations/ engineering).
* Six Sigma Green Belt certified (GE employees only).

As an Manufacturing Operations Leader, you will be leading a team of salaried and hourly employees to meet safety, quality, production and delivery metrics for the manufacturing of aeroderivative packaged products. Drive continuous improvement across key business objectives, such as Six Sigma/Lean, etc.
