Lean Coordinator

Pentair Water - Delavan Operations, a leading global provider of innovative products and systems used in the movement, treatment, storage and enjoyment of water, is the Headquarters for Pentair's Pump division. Formerly the Corporate Headquarters for Sta-Rite Industries, Delavan has been in operation since 1934 and is conveniently located off I-43 in southeastern Wisconsin offering a low-traffic commute.

 POSITION DESCRIPTION

Coordinate lean manufacturing activities associated with optimizing our value chain.

Analyze and assess operational current condition, identify waste, design and implement lean processes and systems.

Actively lead and participate in kaizen events

Report on process improvement results, implement and follow up on lean activities

Reduce finished goods inventory and improve inventory turns

Build and facilitate multidisciplinary short and long term lean activities.

Support lean activities associated with other portions of the value chain and other engineering activities as required QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a bachelors degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or a related field along with Lean Facilitation experience

3+ years of experience in a high-volume faced paced lean manufacturing environment

Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously making decisive decisions

Proven track record of efficiency improvements and project management

 

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES
The following are highly desirable qualities and abilities that will assist the person in performing this job successfully:

Proficiency in Word and Excel along with experience in an ERP system such as SAP would be advantageous.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Willing to travel
