Lean Workshop Leader - LPO Group

To provide tools for company wide improvement through training, meeting facilitation, collaborative project management and promotion of Lean Principles.

1. Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering and Materials to:

? Develop value stream strategies and improvement plans.

? Understand current flow of information and material.

? Define future state flow of information and material.

? Develop targeted plan using projects, RIPs and daily improvement to achieve future state.

2. Initiate, coordinate and manage improvement projects.

? Identify, prioritize and time phase logical progression of projects.

? Coordinate and execute actions to complete projects.

3. Plan, execute and follow-up RIPs and kaizen activities in alignment with value stream strategy.

? Use improvement tools to understand current process, identify opportunities, set objectives and plan workshops.

? Provide targeted education, leadership, and guidance throughout workshop.

? Work with area management to ensure successful follow up to workshops.

4. Train, educate and mentor team members in lean production philosophies, specifically around the Genie Distribution System.

? Provide targeted training.

? Provide ongoing training and insight into LPO rotation program.

5. Continually deepen own understanding of lean production, kaizen methodology and quality systems. Disseminate that knowledge throughout the organization.

? Self-initiate continuous learning in areas of Lean Production & Change Management.

? Deliver information to internal and external sources on an ongoing basis.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a Bachelor?s degree in Business or related field.  Equivalent experience in a similar field may be substituted for degree.  Excellent oral and written communication needed.  Previous experience in team facilitation, project management and implementing quality principles preferred.  Strong understanding of materials distribution and kanban systems preferred.
