Line Leader

Responsible for the overall supervision of the line shift employees.  Duties will include:
? Ensure that individual and team roles and responsibilities are understood; performance measurement objectives are identified, measured and monitored on an on-going basis in order to provide positive feedback on accomplishments and ensure immediate action is taken to address shortfalls
? Ensure compliance to all applicable employment, environmental, health and safety legislation by all associates in assigned areas
? Ensure the completion of line purge procedure and ensure that the production area is clean
? Read and understand the procedures and customer specs & requirements written in the batch file
? Ensure that all production components are available and match the batch file
? Ensure that the required labor is available at start-up of order
? Ensure that the make-ready data complies to batch file records (ie. lot number, expiry date)
? Approve the start-up by ensuring that all factors are in compliance and explain the production requirements/details/roles to each team member
? Reconcile the product file, explain all discrepancies and enter data on computer
? Work closely with Quality Assurance by performing in-line process checks
? Ensure that cGMPs and environmental, health and safety issues are understood and followed
? Accountable for team targets (output, quality and quantity of goods produced)
? Share/Suggest continuous improvement ideas through the problem-solving process
? Ensure all equipment operates in a safe running condition

Requirements: 

? High School diploma or GED equivalent
? Certificate in supervisory skills or related field is an asset
? Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, high tech or food industry as Lead Hand/Supervisor.
? Knowledge of FDA requirements and cGMP?s
? Knowledge of healthcare packaging or related industry
