MACHINIST !! - Manual Description: Growing Rathdrum, Idaho Company seeking experienced Machinist capable of reading blueprints and manufacturing orders for product specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances and assure conformance to specifications and standards.

Further duties include measuring, marking or scribing dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as guides for subsequent machining.

Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on the CNC and vertical mills, lathe, horizontal boring machine, grinder and shaper.

Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.

Enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media to machine parts within tolerance.

Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls to correct error.

Inspect and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications before release. Record time accurately and completely on work orders.

Report part completions in a timely manner to maintain accuracy of the inventory system. Confer with leadperson or engineering to resolve machining questions or problems.

Keep area clean and safe.

Maintain area equipment and make adjustments on machines which fail to meet standards.

Set up machines and equipment. Report equipment malfunctions to production management.

Help maintain stock parts for inventory through proper use of kanban cards.

Safe operation of the overhead crane and forklift.



Requirements:
Certificate or equivalent from a vocational or technical school.

5-7 years of related experience and/or training.

Ability to read and understand safety rules, procedure manuals, drawings and operating instructions.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Ability to use measuring equipment to manufacture and inspect parts for conformance to specifications.

Ability to perform mathematics related to machining tasks. Good planning, organization and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift and move approximately 25-50 pounds. Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen.
