MAINTENANCE PLANNER

We are searching for a roll up your sleeves Maintenance Planner with strengths in balancing maintenance work with the needs of a high speed packaging manufacturing operation. In this key support role you will provide leadership in planning and scheduling and will be primarily responsible for planning maintenance jobs and generating work orders and Job Information Packages in MP2. 
 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Monitor work order backlogManage maintenance history for each machine cost centerDevelop the weekly maintenance schedule and detailed work plansWork with Operations to determine job priority, optimize plans and work allocationStrive to estimate accuracy by recognizing actual time durations to accomplish maintenance tasksConfirm adequate resources to complete PM, predictive and planned maintenance work a timely fashionSpend time on the manufacturing floor to investigate/assess jobs being plannedIssue requisitions and allocate materials to work ordersPrepare and maintain list of spare parts as assigned to specific equipment/locationAssist mechanics/requestors in identifying necessary parts and their acquisitionCommunicate requisitions to the MRO buyerReceive all maintenance parts, distribute to the requestor/store inventory, and deliver paperwork to the MRO buyerMaintain all maintenance spare parts

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONSA working background in a technical field, preferably mechanical, electrical, or reliability engineering with at least 1-3 years of experience with strong manufacturing exposureMust have computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Applications such as Word, Access and ExcelRequires strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal with management and craft personnelMust have strong planning and organization skills, be detail oriented and have the ability to identify problems and make recommendationsWork experience in a union environment a plusWorking knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems
