Continental Microwave & Tool Co., Inc., a Division of Cobham Defense Electronic Systems, provides custom microwave components and integrated subsystems for radar, electronic warfare and communications systems serving aerospace and defense communities as well as the commercial satellite and medical diagnostics industries.

 

 

We seek ambitious individuals looking forward to working in a fast paced team environment as a Manufacturing Engineer.

 

The candidate must work as an individual technical contributor. They must also plan and execute project tasks, develop manufacturing plans and strategies for specific products and processes, take initiative in proposing ideas/soliciting input/optimizing solutions, and actively interface with Electrical, Software, System, and Test Engineers on related technical problems. It is strongly desired that the candidate be able to provide direction when required, research and analyze data to determine feasibility of design or process for production, apply technical concepts to specific tasks, identify design alternatives to enhance producibility, support continuous improvement efforts, and be aware of business objectives.

The candidate must have knowledge of Waveguide Assembly and Microwave Component mechanical design aspects. They must also be capable of mapping existing and generating new process flows. It is strongly desired that the candidate have exposure to tools related to electronics manufacturing, risk assessment, tooling design, and CAD software. They should have the ability to interface with contract manufacturers, as well as generate/status/maintain build documentation. Knowledge of make/buy analysis, advanced packaging technologies, and generating schedules is a plus.
