MANUFACTURING / PROCESS ENGINEER

 

Quality Recruiting has an immediate need for a Manufacturing / Process Engineer to support and develop manufacturing processes for the production of close tolerance CNC produced parts.

 

Job Purpose:

Develops job shop manufacturing requirements to insure parts are produced in a highly productive and cost sensitive environment that meet customer exact specifications. Creates logistical, and production systems that can be communicated and measured effectively.

Duties:

* Detail manufacturing planning and work process creation for items manufactured. 

 

* Design processes to improve productivity in a close tolerance machining and grinding operation.

 

* Reduce  scrap / rework.

 

* Maintain constant relationship with Quality Control Dept to insure continued customer satisfaction.

 

* Analyze work process at individual turning centers to determine process improvement possibilities.

 

* Resolve process problems.

 

* Work with center operators to improve skills and determine methods to reduce expense / scrap.

 

* Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

 

* Insures customer expected quality establishing production planning systems; maintaining good manufacturing practices; enforcing quality standards; while improving products and processes.


* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.



* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.



Skills/Qualifications:

College Degree with Five Years of Experience, Analyzing Information, Innovation, Strategic Planning, Manufacturing Control Planning, Process Improvement, Quality Management, Vendor Relationships, Managing Processes, Dealing with Complexity, Supports Innovation.
