MATERIALS MANAGER – SUPPLY CHAIN – FORTUNE 500 to 100K+

ABOUT THE COMPANY AND THE JOB

 

Fortune 500 manufacturing firm with over ten major plants in North America seeks an outstanding Supply Chain professional with a strong background in Materials Management to lead the Materials and Logistics areas for multi-site global organization. This position will pay in the $80-95K plus bonus+ range plus a truly outstanding benefit package.

 

You will be in charge of inventory management, inbound and outbound logistics, and achieve cost and delivery targets for the customer base

 

You will support the Supply chain team in sourcing commodities at the lowest cost and will manage a salaried and hourly work force of over 200.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

 

A minimum of 5-10 years in Materials Management / Logistics preferably with at least two years in a Strategic Sourcing role for a Fortune 500 manufacturing firm. At least three years of management experience is required.

 

You must have outstanding negotiating skills and excellent analytical ability to identify and exploit key opportunities. Previous experience in an industrial process oriented manufacturing environment is preferred.

 

A previous background using Six Sigma Methodologies and lean manufacturing is strongly preferred. Also, you must have a track record of proven success in cost reduction and productivity improvement using innovative approaches to Supply Chain Management. Experience in E-Commerce, E-Auctions, E-Sourcing is very desirable

 

Excellent knowledge of systems, such as SAP, ERP, MRP, JD Edwards is preferred. Degree required, MBA preferred.
