MEGASYS TECHNICIAN II

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking a couple of experienced Chemical and Gas Technicians for its Chandler, AZ facility.

The MEGASYS? Level II candidate will be required to acquire an intermediate knowledge of all products, and they must develop an intermediate proficiency in the operation of all delivery systems and equipment and will be responsible for maintenance in one functional area. Will also be required to act as a member of the Site Emergency Response Team at the Technician level. The technician will be trained in various emergency response techniques such as spill containment, neutralizations, hazard removal, and interaction with external hazmat teams. Must demonstrate the ability to perform emergency response procedures while maintaining a safety driven, thoughtful and calculated approach to the emergency situation. The level II technician intermediate knowledge will allow the level II technician to react and respond to abnormal conditions by performing knowledgeable troubleshooting and system adjustments while using appropriate notification and escalation procedures. The level II technician will be required to achieve an intermediate knowledge of Quality Management and able to communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.

The candidate will be required to act as a member of the Site Emergency Response Team at the Specialist level.

The candidate must possess the skills to act in place of the operations manager during their absence.

Desired Work Experience:
-At least 3 years experience in Gas systems operations and maintenance.
-High school diploma required. Technical school or Military training in related fields prefered
-No relocation provided
