Machine Mechanic / Production Technician

Valois of America is a leading manufacturer of dispensing systems for the Pharmaceutical, Fragrance and Cosmetic industries. We are looking for two dynamic individuals to join our Manufacturing team at our US subsidiary in Congers, NY as Production Technicians ? one on First Shift and another on Third Shift.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

Ensure operation of machinery by performing scheduled preventive maintenance following written instructions and operating manuals.

 

Troubleshoot malfunctions and quickly determine the extent of repairs, communicating information to the shift Supervisor.

 

Detect malfunctions by inspecting parts and observing equipment.

 

Provide immediate support for basic machine repairs and parts replacement.

 

Set-up production equipment by completing equipment changeovers.

 

Maintain quality standards by conducting in-process and line clearance inspection.

 

Maintain equipment historical reference by documenting actions.

 

 

Requirements

 

HS Diploma or equivalent, AS in Technology, Technical School or related experience.

3-5 years experience in a production high-speed assembly environment.

Detail oriented, analytical, rigorous, reactive, good interpersonal skills.

Previous troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience.

Demonstrated mechanical and technical skills.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to follow written instructions and operating manuals.

Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry and/or knowledge of ISO a plus.
