Machine Operator for World-Class Manufacturer in Irvine!

Kimco, one of the nation's largest and most respected independent staffing firms in California, currently seeks a Machine Operator to work for a world-class manufacturer of cutting tools in Irvine. This company designs and manufactures tight tolerance carbide cutting tools for PCB applications. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating a specially designed machine used for grinding the diameter of cutting tools. Part of the job is to inspect the blanks being produced using specific tools and equipment and adjusting the machine.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes all training programs needed to perform the duties of an RCG Operator I.
Read, understand, and follow company's work instructions, shop traveler, and manufacturing specifications.
Replace and/or dress the grinding wheels as needed to maintain acceptable quality.
Grind blanks at a rate of 320 pieces/hour and 70% efficiency. Produce less than 1.5% scrap.
Inspect the blanks being produced.
Adjust the machine as needed to maintain specific measurements as required by the specification.
Accurately complete the production log and traveler for all drill blanks produced.
Maintain all fluid levels and perform all operator required preventative maintenance.
Ensure work areas, equipment, and machines are cleaned, organized, and safe at all times.
Demonstrate flexibility and dependability with the work schedule and duty assignments.
Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned by call supervisor.

MUST HAVE:
Previous machine operator experience
The ability to read, understand and follow directions
Good communication skills
