Machine Servo Press and Assembly Technicians
EaglePicher Technologies, LLC is now hiring to staff its new, automated battery manufacturing facility in Pittsburg, Kansas, and is seeking several energetic, motivated, trainable, flexible Servo Press and Assembly Technicians. Responsibilities include daily operation of automated PLC controlled equipment and automated equipment with touch controls; daily inspection for preventative maintenance; interpretation of Six Sigma charts and trend analysis; interaction and communication with Engineering; positive contribution to team environment; compliance with company safety procedures; and practice of good housekeeping.
This is a salaried position, but eligible for overtime. Salary depends on qualifications, but annual base starts at $27,000. Working environment is clean, dust free, air-conditioned. There is no relocation being offered with these positions.
Position offers opportunity for some candidates to advance to higher level Technician with some additional responsibility to include routine maintenance on equipment and determination of when and what maintenance is required.
Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent Prefer experience as automated systems technician and/or related position in automated manufacturing environment Solid mechanical aptitude Working knowledge of measurement equipment/gauges desired Equipment set-up experience desired Knowledge of automated manufacturing best practices highly desired Working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment highly desired Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology desired Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization with little or no direct supervision Demonstrated ability to train others desired Flexible Working knowledge of operating TIG welder desired PC literate (Microsoft Office Suite, plus ability to navigate internet/intranet) Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs. Ability to climb ladder (6 feet in height or higher)
