MACHINE SHOP

SUMMARY OF POSITION:Performs functions associated with direct labor manufacturing operations. Works from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, specifications, written and/or verbal instructions of the supervisor. Operates hand and power tools along with more complex equipment and machines safely.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/TASK: -Manufacture standard parts for stock-Manufacture special parts as needed for orders.-Work closely with R&D in manufacturing parts for new products.-Cross-train in other areas within the manufacturing facility. -Perform other duties as may be assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:-Ability to do advanced shop math.-Ability to recognize and use hand and power tools.-Ability to use a Horizontal lathe, vertical mill and other stationary power tools. -Basic computer skills.-Physical ability to perform work in a standing, stooping, sitting and bending position.
