Machinist – Billet Aluminum Wheels

Job Description

Machinist with experience manufacturing aluminum wheels from billet

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

?  Operates CNC machine equipment (three and five axis milling) and two axis C.N.C. lathe

 

?  Responsible for all aspects of machining rims from billet start to finish.

 

?  Capable of inspecting all work and the use of inspection equipment

 

?  Must be able to read from blueprints and hand drawn sketches

 

?  Must be able to use Mastercam

 

?  Sharpen all machine type tools

 

?  May operate a Forklift

 

Skills/Education Required for Position:

?  Experience with manufacturing aluminum wheels/rims

 

?  Full knowledge of three and five axis milling and two-axis CNC lathe and all manual type lathe and milling machines

 

?  If operating a Forklift, must receive proper training including practical and formal training provided by a trainer (internally or outside) with the appropriate knowledge, training, and experience.  Must successfully pass the Forklift Safety Operator Training Program and be issued a Forklift Safety laminated card to be worn when operating a forklift. The forklift operator?s performance is evaluated at least every three years.

 

?  Three to five years industry-related experience

 

?  Good verbal communication skills

 

?  High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
