Machinist - Maintenance, Machine Shop

ATK CCI/Speer, a leading manufacturer of ammunition and components for shooting, hunting, military and law enforcement, is currently seeking a Journey Level (or equivalent) Maintenance/Grinding Machinist at its Lewiston, Idaho facility.

Applicants must meet the following:

Be at least 18 years of age.

Be able to work any shift.

Be able to understand English, and be able to read, write and perform advanced math calculations.

Be a U.S. citizen without any felony convictions.

Be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

?

Preferred experience includes experience running mills, lathes, surface grinder, OD-ID grinder, and centerless grinders.? Diagnostic skills highly desirable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

?????Must have served a 4 year apprenticeship leading to Journey Level Machinist and hold Journey Level papers (or have served the equivalent of journey level).

???? Must be able to set up and operate all basic Machine Shop tools and machinery within 3 months.

???? Must have basic welding skills and knowledge of hydraulic systems.?

???? Must be able to drive a forklift safely within 30 days.?

???? Must have a good attendance and good safety record.?

???? Must have good housekeeping and organizational skills.

???? Must supply own hand tools (necessary type and amount for current position).?

???? Ability to work independently without continual supervision.

Starting wage is $22.25 per hour plus 50? per hour for swing or weekend shifts. Wage adjustments up to $24.98 per hour based on hours worked.
