Maintenance Electrician

1. Checks work order board and determines which work orders can be safely completed without shutting down machine or receives verbal instructions from Supervisor, Production Manager, Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager.

2. Checks with Production and Maintenance Manager to see which machine will be shut down for repairs.

3. Uses a variety of tools and test equipment to troubleshoot, evaluate problems, and determine corrective action.

4. Replaces defective, worn out or damaged parts.

5. Designs and fabricates special equipment.

6. Refurbishes worn equipment during repair cycle.

7. Communicates with management all modification and/or material needs.

8. Performs electrical maintenance in 2 locations.

 

Formal training in technical school, military trianing, etc. At least 2 years industrial experience as electrician, including 440V. Must be able to read, write and perform simple math. Must be able to read schematics and wiring diagrams. Must be familiar with NEMA standards and National Electrician Codes. Must be familiar with test equipment. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Capable of troubleshooting 3 phase control circuits and drive assemblies.
