 Description

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, planning, scheduling & implementing preventative maintenance, for equipment repairs, as well as monitoring, evaluating and maintaining the necessary parts for scheduled maintenance; utilize and maintain the SAP Preventive Maintenance system; ensure that all equipment has the appropriate preventive maintenance set up on the proper intervals; coordinate with contractors to ensure that proper tasks are performed on preventive maintenance; plan each significant job and determines safety requirements, job steps, blueprints, materials, special equipment needs, and manpower required to perform necessary work; track status of backlog - which jobs are planned and ready to perform, which jobs are waiting for materials, which jobs can only be done on major shutdowns, age of backlog; manage compliance with maintenance objectives, etc.; ensure that all work orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished; ensure proper documentation is included; schedule and follow up, while acting in a ?hands on? manner to ensure preventive/corrective maintenance actions are implemented as planned; and other duties as assigned by management.

 Required Skills



Qualified candidates will have:

Associates Degree in Mechanical related field; Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred;
5 +years of heavy industrial maintenance in a continuous process environment; Mining, Refractory, Steel, Petroleum/Petro Chemical industries are preferred;
2+ years of supervisory experience a plus;
Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MS Project; SAP or other ERP systems experience a plus;
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, and blueprints;
Ability to write and communicate routine reports and correspondence; committed to safety and teamwork.
