SUMMARY OF POSITION


Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Supervisor to be located in our Defiance, OH plant.

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervision of maintenance operations and hourly personnel to support the day-to-day operation of production and reports directly to the Plant Engineer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Administer and maintain necessary employment related issues

Support safety programs and training, identify and troubleshoot potential process and / or maintenance problems with prompt attention

Utilize appropriate leadership styles and methods in guiding subordinates towards task accomplishment.

Key initiatives include increasing equipment reliability based on raising efficiency and minimizing cost to the plant.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


BS in Engineering (ideally mechanical)

Will possess solid supervisory skills with at least 2 years prior management experience of hourly workforce.

5-7 years experience in preventative and diagnostic maintenance with demonstrated success in increasing equipment reliability

Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and maintenance

Solid interpersonal communication and written skills

Computer literate
