Maintenance Tech A-2nd shift

Responsible for installing, enhancing and/or maintaining all facilities, equipment, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems throughout the Cardinal Health property. May be responsible for leading and/or directing work team processes. The maintenance department is a service organization; therefore all positions within the maintenance department are directly related to the effective and safe operation of the plant.

Two year technical certification plus 5-7 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalency. Must have proven electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and plumbing aptitudes and have basic understanding of these systems as related to the plant. Able to safely operate mechanical tools and inspection gauges. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, samples, specifications, and be able to follow verbal instructions. Must be self-motivated and be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks on a minute-by-minute basis. Must have outstanding written/verbal communication skills.

Must be able to safely work at varying heights throughout the facility utilizing ladders and scaffolds. Must be able to demonstrate safe lifting capability for 50 pounds on a regular basis and be able to operate lifting mechanisms for heavier loads.
