We are looking for Maintenance Technicians to work on site for a client in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. This is maintenance on equipment and small machines for medical devices. The key is to have experience with electrical/electricity with equipment, pneumatics, hand tools in a manufacturing enviroment. Must have experience to trouble shoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and other machine control problems. You should have basic programmable controller knowledge required in facilitating equipment repair.

This is for a company in the Life Science industry. Ideally, candidates with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and plant floor with a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude would be a strong fit for this position.

KEY JOB NOTE: Experience in maintenance of buildings or facilities is not applicable. The client needs candidates with skills to work on equipment and machinery for small stampings or injection molded products.

NOTE: Must be open to afternoon or midnight shifts! The afternoon shift is 2:30 - 11:00 PM and third shift is 11 to 7:00 AM. It is a contract position projected to last six to eighteen months. Overtime will likely occur to include work on weekends.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This person should be able to diagnose and repair any equipment and/or process problem. In addition, this person must be capable of working in an extremely independent fashion and do virtually any task involving equipment repair and maintenance with little or no supervision. This person will perform work assignments given by manufacturing and engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform assigned repair, equipment upgrade, or equipment installation in timely and effective manner.
* Diagnose and repair any equipment / process problems incurred in manufacturing line.
* Identify and document potential equipment and process problems or improvements.
* Provide guidance and training for other personnel.
* Complete necessary documentation to record machine problems and solutions in an accurate and timely fashion.
* Support engineers with design of equipment, machinery, or subsystems for use in manufacturing environment. Assist in redesign or improvement of process control equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
* Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and move to minimum distance of 50 ft.
* Be able to stand or squat 50% to 100% of the day in order to work on all aspect of equipment.
* Associate degree in related field plus 3 years experience or a minimum of 6 years related experience.
* Must have good attendance.
* Available to work overtime with little or no notice.
* Be able to meet and exceed all requirement of Sr. Maintenance Technician.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Good communication and organizational skills in order to communicate with engineers; shift managers, etc.
* CAD and Microsoft Office skills required.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of Directlogic PLC's, operator interfaces, and other controls, including any associated programming software.
* Demonstrate knowledge of standard drafting techniques to produce accurate detail drawings.
