Your tasks
Set-up, repair and maintain production equipment, warehousing equipment, packaging equipment and facilities equipment and fixtures. Typical machinery involved includes: Scandia 607 and 262 wrappers, Conflex CW160 high speed wrapper, Eberhard De-Wrapper, Shanklin A26L-Sealer, Autologik MediaMax 450 Sorter, Raymond electric lifts, Yale LP Gas forklifts, Yale LP Gas forklifts, hydraulic pallet jacks, powered and gravity conveyor systems, Lantec Stretch-wrappers, electronic weigh scales, electronic check weighers, SCA/Alloyd RF turntable and carousel sealers, Bell & Howell inserters, Pitney Bowes inserter, Baldwin-Stobb cartoner, Zebra thermal transfer printers, Paragon and Label-Aire label applicators, Little David case sealers, RFID label printers, and other specialty equipment.
Must be able to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment using logic, troubleshooting guides, directions from factory representatives, instructions from supervisors and fellow technicians, and return equipment to production use.
Typical repair skills used include replacing mechanical and/or electrical components including shafts, bearings, drive belts, motors, valves, photo-optics, PLC's, air cylinders, bar code scanners, solenoids, pressure switches, counters, O-rings, pre-manufactured specialty sub-assemblies, and other items.
Perform preventative maintenance programs per directions.
PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Our requirements
Ability to read electrical schematics and use meters to troubleshoot circuits.
Ability to program PLC's and other electronic devices such as photocell, timers, etc.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot systems under pressure.
Knowledge of pneumatic systems including air cylinders, flow controls, valves, and similar devices.
Knowledge of pneumatic systems including air cylinders, flow controls, and valves.
Familiarity with RF sealing equipment desired.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
5+ years experience in maintenance or related field
College degree or formal training in technical school
3rd shift position - hours are 12:00 am - 8:30 am
