Maintenance Technician Apprentice
Gates Corporation
The world's most trusted name in belts, hose and hydraulics.
Has an opening for a Maintenance Technician Apprentice in their Jefferson, NC automotive belt facility.
Qualified candidates must have basic knowledge of process and programmable controllers, basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, ability to operate machine tools, welding equipment, and hand tools. Must also have working knowledge of computers for inventory use, work order systems, and troubleshooting. Must possess problem solving and strong verbal communication skills.
Prefer Associate degree. Will be required to successfully complete "Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship" test developed by Gates and administered by Wilkes Community College.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians, suppliers, and training courses and will be expected to increase skill sets to Maintenance Technician level within one year.
