Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

Electrical Engineering degree "hands on", detail oriented individual. Experience with electro-mechanical

assemblies, I/O panels, cabinet rack & stack, cabling and machine shop operations.  AutoCAD, MS Project and

other Microsoft software.Good management, verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to multi-task, and handle

multiple projects simultaneously a must. 

 

Specific Accountabilities:

 

1. Ensure safety of working environment and equipment.

2. Assign appropriate personnel to relevant system assembly and test assignments. 

3. Monitor manufacturing activities to ensure timely delivery of systems.

4. Coordinate activities with project engineers and Service Manager to ensure timely system completion

  and support of systems.

5. Align production schedules with project requirements and maintain an inventory of raw materials and

  finished products to support process.

6. Work in conjunction with purchasing department, to ensure that inventories are maintained at optimal

  level. 

7. Determine the sequence of production operations, equipment and tooling requirements.

8. Analyze production methods to ensure time and cost objectives are met.

9. Facilitate introduction of new processes and recommend improvements to existing ones.

10. Direct quality control inspection system and develop production reporting procedures.

11. Ensure that all systems consist of correct components and are quality checked prior to shipment

12. Monitor and upgrade tooling and manufacturing equipment as necessary to maintain efficient operations.

13. Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines.

14. Support Return Material Authorization activities as requested by Service Manager.

15. Hire, organize and mentor staff in support of functional duties.

16. Train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.

 

Position Requirements:

 

1. BS in Engineering, or equivalent experience.

2. Experience in manufacturing, assembly, machine shop and system level test activities.

3. Hands on, detail oriented.

4. Ability to work independently.

5. Excellent communication skills

6. Team player - ability and willingness to work with various teams.
