Manager, Merchandise Business Systems 29283

Job Description: Provide ongoing identification and business development of new Client Server applications which will maximize the utility of merchandise information currently residing in the MERLIN mainframe data repository. Partner with IT to manage Client Server Warehouse business development and reporting, including T-Log database modeling, testing, and reporting. Responsible for Arthur Planning/Essbase database and Space Management application development, testing, and ongoing application support. Assist in Disney Theme Park Merchandise PC hardware/software/user support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Proven expertise in PC work station hardware and software required

Proven expertise in Client Server applications

Proven expertise in reporting/development software tools, including Access, Business Objects, Visual Basic, etc

Demonstrated strong written and verbal skills

Demonstrated strong management skills

Proven detail orientation with strong follow-through skills

Ability be a positive with customer service focus

Ability to interact with all levels of Cast and external consultants/vendors

Ability to work in a fast paced environment while handling multiple priorities

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven knowledge and understanding of processes within the Merchandise Line of Business

Proven knowledge of Mainframe/MERLIN software, POS systems/applications, and/or Oracle Retail applications

Proven familiarity with Arthur Planning software or equivalent
