Manager, Planning & Scheduling

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Requires 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Formal management training/experience is essential.  Requires 8 years related planning/scheduling experience.  Specific experience in ERP/MRP, Master Scheduling, Material Planning and Lean pull systems required.  Must be a progressive and strategic thinker and knowledgeable in business principles to ensure strategic business plan is met or exceeded, guaranteeing acceptable return on investment.  Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, organizational, negotiation and communication skills.  Must display a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under limited direction, manages and directs planning and scheduling functions designed to provide operations, management, and customers that ensures effective and economical support for manufacturing of products and systems support.  Manages the planning and scheduling functions in order to satisfy customer requirements and provide a smooth production flow through work centers.  Develops and implements program activities, production departments and customers, and resolves problems in areas of planning and scheduling to meet commitments.  Manages material requirement plans in order to maintain requested quantities and schedules.  Monitors/reports inventory levels of WIP and raw stock.  Maintains inventory levels to required production schedules.  Determines planning/scheduling support needs.  Performs special research or technical studies critical to planning/scheduling.  Manages preparation, publication and distribution of relevant reports to business units to provide visibility of current planning/scheduling status.  Analyzes current systems and processes and leads improvement teams.
