Position Summary:
Responsible for supervising overall plant manufacturing operations to meet the production schedule with quality products on a timely basis in a cost efficient and safe manner. Through subordinate supervisors and managers, assure production objectives are met within cost and quality standards. Develop and maintain a working relationship with manufacturing associates. Ensuring the adherence to our four basics and five traits.
Accountabilities:
? Follows procedure sheets regarding proper tooling, methods, equipment operations, and raw materials used.
? Supervises departmental supervisors and ensures discipline within confines of plant rules and applicable laws.
? Establish specific objectives and projects for supervisors that tie in with the plant goals, monitor their successful completion, and suggests new handling and manufacturing methods to achieve maximum productivity.
? Reviews employee training for each work assignment to assure safety in operation and quality compliance, and complies with and enforces company safety programs and policies.
? Monitors productions to assure efficiencies are maintained.
? Communicates with the Engineering Department regarding maintenance methods and Quality Assurance concerns.
? Assures production and job time records are accurate and complete, and all applicable federal and state regulatory guidelines are being adhered to.
? Take a leading and visible role in defining, implementing and administering the quality system, with the goal of meeting MBCI?s quality policy.
? Responsible for achieving budget goals, productivity and spending.
? Actively participate in the creation and accomplishment of annual Objectives and Accountabilities for the plant.
? Establish and implement processes to assure employee accountability throughout the plant operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
? Knowledge of SIOP process (Sales/Inventory/Operation Plan Master Scheduling)
? Ability to develop and use access queries in a database to achieve goals at plant and personal level, and to use process mapping to define layout of warehouse and production flow.
? Understanding of manpower planning and day to day responsibility of production operations.
? Ability to manage physical inventory and implementation of cycle count process/procedure for a facility.
? Materials/Planning and Warehouse background with 1 -3 years in a faculty with at least $20M in sales managing 4000 active SKU?s
? Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and the company, and to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
? Ability to perform those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including provision for the selection and development of employees, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling and motivation, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the department.
? 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. 5 years of supervisory experience is desired.
Education:
? Bachelor of Business Administration, Concentration in Management
? Greenbelt Certified (Six Sigma) beneficial
? APICS (CPIM) certified beneficial
? ISO Auditor/Trained beneficial
