Eaton Aerospace Fluid Power located in Grand Rapids, MI. has immediate opening for a Commodity Manager, Metals. This is a full time position for a motivated professional with strong organizational skills. The appropriate candidate primary function will be to develop and implement supply chain strategies with cost reduction focus for Metal sub-commodities throughout Aerospace global operations.


JOB DESCRIPTION!


Manage sub-commodities as defined and in support of the overall metal commodity strategy. Must be familiar with the complete range of strategic sourcing activities. This include the analysis of spend, formulation and implementation of commodity strategies, negotiation of contracts and ongoing management of strategic supplier relationship to include Supplier Development. Develop and lead cost reduction programs for metals sub-commodities within the scope of the strategic sourcing process by managing the following: Commodity and negotiation strategies including global sourcing. Supplier selection/de-selection, evaluation and supply base rationalization. Supply chain solution, including VMI, supplier consignment stock etc.

Qualifications:
7 to 10 years experience in supply chain/sourcing, operations and project management. Must have Strategic sourcing experience, creating sourcing strategies and executing those strategies across multi-plant organizations in a matrixes organization. Must have experience in managing agreement and contracts. Must have strong communication skills, influencing skills, the ability to create business case models, and manage cross-site implementation project in a matrix environment. BS in Procurement/Supply Chain, Operations preferred.
