Manager, R&D Design
Godfrey Marine an industry-leading builder of recreational boats is seeking Manager Pattern Design/R&D to join the R&D Team.
Manager, Pattern Design/R&D Godfrey Marine supports strong, self-reliant leadership capable for working in an evolving and matrixed team environment. The down-to-earth, pragmatic environment is focused on results, and employees are passionate about making a difference. This position primary responsibility for prototyping & pattern making of canvas product and furniture.
This is a highly visible, high profile position. We?re looking for someone who is creative.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations to achieve business objectives. Design and develop new and improved products and processes. Provide leadership in implementing new and improved products and processes Individual must be multi-tasks, detailed oriented, with Pattern Design/R & D Prototyping experienced within a upholstery or textile manufacturing environment, the ability to create designs on Gerber Software and Gerber patterns, create samples to demonstrate the construction of design and to complete pattern with full design solutions. Work with R & D team to maximize fabric yields and to improve production efficiencies.
Experience/Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree in Fine Arts, Textile design is a plus Minimum of 2 years experiences Creative, high energy style with expertise in design Experienced in leading both manufacturing and a research and development organization. Excellent organizational and leadership skills Experience in Boating, and/or RV Industry desired, with upholstered products. Excellent interpersonal, communication and ability to be self directed. Knowledge of Gerber, Accumark, PDS (pattern design), Marker Making and CAD is a plus. Strong math and measuring device skills Industrial sewing knowledge
