W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc.,Electronic Products Division, is seeking a manufacturing assembler. Tetrad, a subsidiary of Gore, is seeking a manufacturing assembler to support the micro array team. This associate will aid in the manufacture of micro array products for Medical Ultrasound equipment. The successful candidate will build and test arrays, and work closely with engineering to facilitate timely completion of assumed tasks. Equipment used to perform these commitments may include: capacitance meter, multi-meter, binocular microscope, digital height gauge, computer, flash scope, and a Dremel.

This associate will also operate the dicing saws as needed to support the team.
This individual must be able to understand the technical and machine processes on our manufacturing floor. Operate and maintain machinery that produces components used in building various types of ultrasound probes. This will include: applying calculations for setting machinery as specified, inspecting / measuring incoming and completed parts and recording results as required, performing calculations, program and operating equipment (saw, grinder, or sputtering system, microscope, toolmakers scope, depth gauge, scale, hand tools, and oven.) May assist in troubleshooting new products and processes; provide constructive feedback to engineering and leadership regarding product and process improvements; facilitate development of assembly documentation and evaluate documentation for completeness and clarity;

Qualifications
Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to: Hands on experience with the assembly, repair, or manufacture of small mechanisms or other mechanical assembly, especially those requiring the use of a microscope or loupe (some examples are camera repair, watch/clock making or repair, fiber optic based assemblies, jewelry repair);
Excellent eye-hand dexterity, to successfully assemble and troubleshoot medical ultrasound transducer arrays and probes;
Demonstrated ability to work in an engineering and manufacturing environments;
Aptitude for detail oriented work requiring a high degree of accuracy;
Computer literate with the demonstrated ability to use automated computerized equipment; prior experience with computerized and mechanical machinery preferred;
Prior soldering experience under binocular microscope is helpful;
Demonstrated track record of effectively prioritizing; solid time-management skills with ability to multi-task and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills using the English language and demonstrated ability to follow written instructions;
High school diploma, or equivalent;
Excellent track record of attendance, a self-starter, and goal oriented
