Job description

On behalf of our successful client we are searching for a talented and experienced Department Manager to join this metal fabrication manufacturing environment.  If you have a strong metal fabrication background, lean manufacturing experience and experience in either TL9000 or QS9000 standards, you are exactly the person we are searching for!  The idle candidate would have welding, painting, metal bending and punch press experience.  The successful applicant will report to the Manufacturing Manager and will train and develop supervisors; managing production and setting up an environment of accountability.  The applicant will directly and indirectly manage 90 employees over three shifts as well as handle team building.

 

 Requirements

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you must have the following:

 

?  A Bachelors Degree from a 4-year university is required.  A BS Engineering Degree is highly preferred

?  5 + years of experience in a manufacturing environment

?  Previous management or supervisory experience is required

?  Experience in a metal fabrication environment is a MUST; Punch press, bending, welding, painting

?  Exposure to either TL9000 or QS9000 standards

?  Experience with and knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5-S, continuous improvement, scrap reduction,  kaizen and other lean methodologies
