Senior Manufacturing Engineer I





Job Description:

? Raytheon?s MK48 Heavyweight and MK54 Lightweight Torpedo Business are undergoing technical upgrades and in need of a talented engineer to support the US Navy and our allies in maintaining fleet ready weapons

? A Senior level position with 5-10 years of experience that works with both manufacturing and design engineering peers in hardware analysis, fault isolation and preventative/corrective actions

? Employ a functional knowledge of analog and digital electronics with demonstrated problem solving skills

? Highly motivated, pro-active individual with the ability to work independently with limited supervision and take ownership of assignments to achieve schedule and technical goals. Strong willingness to learn




Required Education:

? Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field with relevant professional experience




Basic Qualifications:

? Senior level position with: 5-10 yrs experience.



? Must possess comprehensive understanding of modern analog and complex digital electronics to fault isolate electronic module assemblies and subsystems

? Proficient with a variety of commercial test equipment, such as logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes. Connection, setup and use to be demonstrated during interview process

? Must possess and be able to demonstrate an understanding of standard data bus protocols (VME, PCI, Ethernet, IEEE-488)

? Self-motivated and possess good oral and written communication skills, particularly in documenting the failure analysis process and results

? 5 years hands on experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Access/Project).

? US citizenship and the ability to achieve a Secret level clearance




Desired Qualifications:

? Recent experience in test engineering and system integration

? Ability to speak articulately and clearly in identifying and describing technical problems to design engineers and program office representatives

? Familiar with COTS automated test equipment and environmental stress screening systems (thermal chambers, repetitive shock vibration platforms)

? Adaptable and willing to work varying assignments

? Knowledge of statistical techniques

? Understanding of C, C++, and/or National Instruments Lab view software

? Customer focused and be capable of writing formal failure reports that will be submitted for Navy approval
