IDS Engineering's Mechanical Engineering Directorate (MED) leads in mechanical hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo and combat system equipment. The MED uses state-of-the-art tools, processes technology and Raytheon Six Sigma principles.


Job Description:

Engineering support to the 2nd shift Circuit Card Assembly operation providing set-up, troubleshooting and support to the equipment on the automated assembly line. Training and technical support to the assembly operators and inspectors, including knowledge of SFDM and J-STD-001 soldering specification.

Basic Qualifications:

? BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

? Experience in programming, set-up, trouble shooting and operating Automated assembly equipment for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) CCA manufacturing

? Minimum 2 years job experience in related field

Desired Qualifications:


? Ability to train FAIT personnel in the operation of the automated SMT equipment

? Experience in developing proper solder reflow profiles for SMT mass reflow soldering

? In depth understanding of J-STD-001B specification requirements

? Experience with Shop Floor Data Management (SFDM) factory software

? R6S lean manufacturing techniques and principles

? Root cause problem solving techniques

? In depth Solder Stencil design principle knowledge

? Automated Optical Inspection equipment knowledge
Required Education(including Major): BS Engineering or Science
