A growing Minerals Processing Company in Central NJ has the following opportunities available:

Supervisor / Working Foreman? Second Shift (4PM ? 12PM) & Third Shift (12AM - 8AM)

Reports to: Plant Manager

Responsibilities:

Supervisor / Working Foreman role that will oversee Production Shift consisting of between 6-10 Personnel, including Furnace Operators, Packaging Assistants / Baggers, Dock Workers, and Maintenance personnel

Operate shift in compliance with Environmental and Safety guidelines and standards; bring observations and / or conditions of non-compliance to management?s attention. Strong Disciplinarian who holds all personnel accountable for working within prescribed guidelines and standards without exception.

Ensure that Production Plan is executed daily with Quality and On-Time Delivery driving decision-making to maintain strong Customer Service focus.

Train all new hourly workers on proper procedures, as business is seasonal and there is annual turn-over of employees; hiring / firing decision-making experience a must!

Accurately trouble-shoot "root cause" of Process and Packaging System problems and correct with limited resources; prioritize on-going Maintenance problems with Plant Manager or General Manager

Hold all personnel accountable for paperwork / record-keeping, cleanliness and housekeeping of work-areas, warehouse, and grounds

Qualifications:

4-10 years experience as either Production or Maintenance Supervisor in medium or heavy industrial environment; experience in minerals or aggregates a plus.

Knowledge of OSHA Safety Standards

Organized, self-starter capable of multi-tasking to get things done

Genuine "take charge" leader capable of working in high-stress, fast-paced environment with limited Supervision and capable of driving change into an organization

Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated background of overcoming technical problems.

Takes pride in workmanship and strives to set higher standards for others by establishing and managing expectations.

Some Planning / Scheduling experience preferred.

NOTE:  MUST BE capable of working Weekend OT during Peak Season (Apr - Sept)

 

Maintenance Personnel ? All shifts (8AM - 4PM; 4PM ? 12AM; 12AM ? 8AM)

Reports to: Group Leader and/or Plant Manager

Responsibilities:

Maintain all equipment in good, readiness condition.

Trouble-shoot Process, Packaging, and Utility Systems (compressed air, combustion systems / furnaces, bag-houses, PLCs / relay logic, air locks, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, belt conveyors).

Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, including motors, gearboxes, sensors; capable of working with 3-phase electrical systems.

Operate shift in compliance with Environmental and Safety guidelines and standards; bring observations and / or conditions of non-compliance to management?s attention. Holds all personnel accountable for working within prescribed maintenance guidelines and standards without exception.

Ensure that Production Plan is executed daily with Quality and On-Time Delivery driving decision-making to maintain strong Customer Service focus.

4-10 years experience as Maint Mechanic in medium or heavy industrial environment; experience in minerals or aggregates a plus.

Genuine "take charge" leader capable of working in high-stress, fast-paced environment with limited Supervision and capable of "fixing it right the first time"

Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated background of overcoming technical problems.

Takes pride in workmanship and strives to set higher standards for others by establishing and managing expectations.

Some MRO Purchasing & Supplier Management experience desired.

Experience establishing / managing Preventive Maintenance systems a strong +.

NOTE:  MUST BE capable of working Weekend OT during Peak Season (Apr - Sept)

NOTE:  MUST BE capable of working in elevated locations, up to 5 stories, on roof-tops & catwalks

 



Customer Service Representative

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities

Motivated CS Rep to support both inside and outside Sales Agents.  Primary responsibilities to include Answering Phones, Order Taking / Order Entry, Production Scheduling / Order Prioritization, Fulfilling requests for Literature / Technical Info, Report Writing / Tracking Sales Metrics, Preparing / Sending Product Samples, Updating / Designing Sales & Marketing Brochures, Various ?Guy/Gal Friday? Office Admin / Errands.

 

Requirements: 

Personable, Energetic, and Motivated individual with Superior Customer Service attitude.  Able to multi-task in fast-paced office environment with very busy switchboard.  Strong knowledge of computer systems, data entry, spreadsheets and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).  Desktop publishing knowledge also helpful (ie. Adobe, or similar).
