Manufacturing Production Manager

Inova LLC. We are an exciting new company that designs and manufactures multifunctional space-saving furniture for the retail and contract markets. Our sales and marketing offices are located in New York City and our innovative products have recently been featured on numerous HGTV shows, the Discovery Channel and the Oprah Winfrey Show. We have a panel process, manufacturing facility in Albany County (Guilderland Center), New York and are looking for a Production Manager that will be responsible for all areas of manufacturing and warehousing.

Duties will include:

? Participating in and leading set up efforts of new facility ? assisting with plant layout, hiring employees, training, and developing and documenting manufacturing processes.
? Managing small operation of 4-10 employees in first year with expected fast paced growth in future years.
? Taking a hands-on role in all manufacturing processes ? Panel saw, CNC, edgebanding, spray finishing, assembly, packaging, and shipping.
? Ensuring 100% on time delivery and superior quality.
? Monitoring inventory levels and initiating new production orders
? Managing purchasing activities
? Being proactive ? recognizing what needs to be done and doing it.
? Providing feedback and suggestions to design team that will improve product design for ease of manufacturing.

Qualifications:

? Manufacturing management in a wood working operation, CNC panel process, and inventory control experience are required. Programming experience is a plus.
? Bachelor?s Degree in Management or Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
? Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
? Familiarity with spray finishing and CAD drawing is preferred.
? Hands on experience with purchasing, panel processing engineering, CNC machinery, packaging and shipping are a plus.
? Experience with Demand-pull (Kanban) manufacturing processes
? Ability to learn new material quickly and thoroughly
? High energy level
? Excellent writing skills
? Ability to prioritize for self and others.

Salary is to be commensurate with skills and experience. Profit sharing and bonus programs are also available.
