Manufacturing/Press Manager - Job 41

The Manufacturing/Press Manager will direct manufacturing to support company objectives and report to Senior Director of Operations. Operations are responsible for the manufacturing of all products in multiple facilities within the US.

 

Mission:

The primary mission of this position will be two fold:As a Manufacturing Manager you will direct, develop and implement activities in manufacturing to meet production objectives like quality, fulfillment on time and cost. Prioritize production based on volumes, equipment efficiency and material supply. Plan and administrate procedures and budgets. Make budgetary recommendations regarding capital expenditure and direct / indirect labor. Develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Be responsible for managing operations schedules based on product/operational forecasting and equipment efficiency. Manage a team of 3 to 6 shift Supervisors in a 24?5 to 24?7 environment. Coordinates operational activities with other functional groups such as procurement and engineering. Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operations in manufacturing. As a Press /Bindery Manager you will oversee all digital press operations and functionality through out printing, post press bindery, finishing and shipping.
A positive win-win approach, involving internal and external stakeholders, will be necessary to accomplish the mission in accordance with established company polices, procedures, objectives and values.

Skills and Attributes Needed:Able to define and execute quality processes in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment. Minimum of 10 years experience in manufacturing industries Experience from commercial and/or digital printing Experience with supervising 25+ direct reports and multiple shifts Ability to see bigger picture /strategic thinking Able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member Communicate effectively both internally and externally; i.e. check email, meetings, interaction Strong interpersonal/communication and analytical skills Strong leadership and team building skills Excellent attention to detail, flexible and adaptable to change Able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to multitask and set priorities Ability to write operational reports Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and MRP systems

 

Additional Experience and Qualifications:
* Project Management experience
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent
