Manufacturing / Production Supervisor- Night Shift

 

 

API? specializes in the design, die-cutting and manufacturing of plastic retail bags for supermarkets, convenience stores, fast food restaurants and other retailers nationwide. We produce at multiple plants nationwide, giving our customers the flexibility needed in today's busy world.

 





We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our manufacturing facility in Elkridge, Maryland.

This position will be on the night shift (6 PM to 6 AM) alternating 2 nights on, 2 nights off and 3 days off every other weekend off.

This hands-on Position will maintain a management presence in the manufacturing plant and has responsibility for the day-to-day activities in the packing and extrusion departments.  You will oversee all shift activities to support and help employees improve in safety, quality, productivity.

 

 ? Duties include:

 

? Direct daily activities of 20-25 manufacturing employees

? Orient, train, assign and coach employees

? Provide on the job training for new and existing employees

? Communicate job performance standards to associates. Provide timely and consistent feedback, coach and motivate associates to exceed

? Address employee concerns

? Maintain safety procedure documentation and facilitate training

? Manage disciplinary procedures to ensure consistency and fairness

? Troubleshoot and problem solve where and when a problem may arise.

? Maintain a clean and orderly work area

? Complete daily production reports

? Monitor quality

 

Requirements:


High school diploma or equivalent required. Two-three years experience as a lead or supervisor on a packaging line or in a production environment.  Excellent communication skills, math skills and problem solving ability.  Good conflict resolution, problem solving and relationship building skills

 

Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.

 

SALARY:

 

Dependant on experience.  $30,000 - 38,000.
