Solar Plastics is a locally owned manufacturer and international leader of custom-engineered rotational molded plastics products. Due to tremendous growth we have created an opportunity for a Quality Technician.

 

In this role you will audit the production process in accordance to daily auditing procedures and perform internal audits as needed ? Gather data to conduct Quality Studies to include SPC, Gage R & R and manage the fixture inspection process ? Conduct material tests of raw materials where required and provide feedback to manufacturing that will improve the quality system ?Train employees on quality expectations of parts based on Customer expectations? Have a strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems in a Manufacturing environment, including aspects of Lean Manufacturing.

REQUIREMENTS: ? Ability to be safely mobile on a manufacturing floor for 85% of a workday and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. ? Ability to work flexible hours required ? Strong communications skills, have experience in Customer Service, the ability to read a part print, Engineering Specifications, and proficient in current statistical software systems. ? Ability to effectively problem solve and troubleshoot in the manufacturing environment. ? Ability to establish quality inspection techniques ? Certified to drive a forklift. ? Quality Management Systems / Engineering experience in a Manufacturing Environment a must ? Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
