Manufacturing Supervisor--excellent contract opportunity with Fortune 100 Co.

Kelly Engineering Resources has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Supervisor. This is a 4-6 month contract position with a leading medical device manufacturer in NE Georgia.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
--Provide supervision for established manufacturing line(s) on a given shift, ensuring optimal use of equipment, personnel, and materials. This will require the incumbent to spend approximately 95% of the time on the manufacturing floor.
--Supervise in accordance with established policies and methods to meet manufacturing line commitments.
--Monitor line performance and work operations ensuring that EPS rules are followed.
--Responsible for compliance with all regulatory, corporate, and local policies. (Safety, Environmental, Quality, Employment, etc.)
--Responsible for the safety of line members.
--Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and coordinating the appropriate response to problems on the lines.
--Leads the Integrated Production Team (IPT) for the manufacturing line and serves as the communication conduit from the operations cells to the support units of the IPT.
--Provide training and development of associates on the line.
--Takes full ownership for the line and its effective and efficient operation. This includes developing or executing continuous improvement efforts.
--Responsible for ensuring that the consumption trigger report is executed and planned transfers are made with quality material in a cost efficient manner.
--Communicate line measures to associates and apply associate involvement methods as needed to increase associate involvement and ownership.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
--Develop and manage budgets to meet departmental goals and objectives.
--Support EEO/AAP and diversity initiatives.
--Develop and support initiatives to implement World Class Manufacturing standards.
--Shift rotation and overtime may be required.
--Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
